Good News!!!
Phineas had a check up with the surgeon on Tuesday! It went really well. He is doing so well that we are able to start weaning his dilations. Hopefully by the time he is 15 months we should be finished with dilations. We are so thankful that he is doing so well.
On to other news, Phineas got his first hair cut this week. His hair was ridiculously long. It was past his eyes. He was definitely sporting the Donald. Not anymore, his hair now looks like a little boy instead of the old man comb over.
This week we also learned that our little monkey could climb. It wasn't far but it is just the beginning. I was getting some things together to go to storage and I had a Rubbermaid container sitting on the floor in the living room. Matthew and Phineas were playing and the next thing I see Phineas is trying to stand up while holding on to the container. Well I got the camera and I took some pictures and by the time I was finished taking pictures he was on top of the container. He was so proud of himself.
Matthew also received some very good news. Maggie's Morning School called me Friday to tell me that Matthew had a spot in the Pre-K class. I am very excited. When we found out we were moving we put his name on the list and he was number 30. I can't believe that he got in. Ben and I are so happy that he will be at the school of our choice instead of the one that was our fall back. I told Matthew the news and he was so excited because he was going to the same school as Charlie.
Here are some pictures of the haircut, climbing and did I forget to mention that we let Phineas lick Ben's doughnut the other morning. He loved it! I don't have any pictures of Matthew because he has been running away everytime I get the camera out.

7 months old, 2 new teeth and a ton of pictures

I know it has been quite some time since we updated so I decided to just sit down and do it. So far this summer we have been trying to keep busy and pass the time until school starts. We spent a week at the beach with my family, and we spend alot of time at Aunt Jenn and Uncle Jay's playing in the pool. Matthew's favorite thing to do is play cars (STILL)! I wonder if he will ever out grow his love for Lighting McQueen. He even tells Finn about the Cars movie. It is so sweet to hear Matthew talking to Finn because most of the time Finn just giggles and grins at him. Finn is a very sweet baby. He has grown so much since we last updated. He is now crawling, sitting up, pulling up on his knees, and saying dadadadadadada. He is everywhere. It is amazing how much they change in just a short amount of time. Well I'm sure everyone is ready for some pictures, so here they are. I promise I will try to do a better job with updating!!!

We're Here!!! (or there as the case may be)

That's right. For those of you who don't know, we have moved back to Savannah. At long last, the lack of sales caught up to Arena Steel. I did NOT get fired. I was more than welcome to continue working there...they just weren't going to be able to pay me. I'll do some stuff for free, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. I was offered a job out here in Savannah so I took it and we took off. The boys were great on the drive out. Finn slept the whole time and Matthew watched A LOT of movies. We are now in and settled. The boys seem to be adjusting well to their new home. Matthew has his Nana (but he does miss his Granna and Da a lot) and Finn just is. He has started to become much more animated these days (see below) and is growing up very quickly. They'll do that. But, enough with the gibber-gabber...on to the pictures!

When they're this little, you can actually get stuff done when they're around.

"Strangers from the Outside....OOOOOOOOOOH"

As long as Matthew has his Mario Kart, he'll be cool with any new place.

Sure, they like each other NOW...

Update on the Boys

Hello there. It's been a while since we've posted. I keep saying that, don't I? I really should do a better job of updating, but alas I can't seem to get to it. Well, I shall do my best. Again, kind of a lot's happened since I last wrote.

There was Valentines Day, President's Day, Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and the day Finn went back to the hospital. Yup, that's right! One more trip to good ole Cook Childrens. We just loved the place so much that we had to go back. Except for NO. Let's start from the beginning. As I'm sure most of you know, Finn has Hirschprung's disease, which is a condition that affects his colon. You are free to Google it if you need to know more. In order to fix the issues he had surgery. A little snip here, a snip there, pull that through and sew it back together. Good as gold....ish. Well a few weeks ago Amanda noticed some blood in his diaper. She called the surgeon whose secretary said to call our pediatrician. Our pediatrician said it was probably nothing and just keep an eye on him. Well the bleeding got worse and Amanda got more nervous so she called Jenn who talked to one of her docs and she called Uncle Mike who talked to one of his docs and the general consensus was that the secretary and the pediatrician were idiots and we should take him to the hospital. So she did. As it turns out that was the right move. They got him fixed up and sorted out and everything is cool now. Except for our pediatrician who has one less patient...OOPS. Maybe next time she'll do her job.

Other than that it's been pretty calm. Just the crazy kids. Matthew is still going to school. Finn will not be joining him this year, per the new pediatricians orders. He seems to really enjoy it and I think will be very bored when summer comes. But, I'm sure we'll find something for him to do. He is also taking swimming lessons. As it turns out, I think the problem was us not him. When we aren't around he has no problem jumping off the side, going down the slide or diving under the water. When we are around he turns into a little baby girl who is too afraid to do anything. But hopefully this class will help him this summer at the pool, waterpark and/or beach.

Onto the pictures...I know that's why most of you are here.

Matthew is helping Finn with his tummy time...Finn loves his tummy time.

"Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese" Exactly...cheese.

Matthew taking some much needed relaxation time with his Tag reader. It's good to just get away into a book sometimes.

One of us said he was cute, the other one said he was so cute you could just eat him up, one thing led to another and well....there you go.

I spy something's a Fruit Loop under the couch...dibs!

...17...18...19...20. Finished Drill Sergeant! We're taking a harder line with this one. None of that sissy time out junk. Spit up on the floor and it's 'drop and give me 20'

But I don't make either of the kids do push ups. Though it might help with the older one...what do you think? Well, until next time...

Welcome Phineas

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce Phineas David Morton. I know it's been 6 weeks since he was born and you are just now getting pictures but I've been busy. Sorry.

Ain't he cute?

All tube-y and stuff from the hospital.

I am sorry that I haven't written much but it's late and I'm tired. I promise that I will get back to my ever so witty commentary in the future. Until then, good night.
